March 2026 - Spring?

News from the Town Office

House Numbering — Council recently passed a resolution that requires all homes to have house

numbering on the street side of which your home is addressed. If you don’t already have numbers

that are at least 4 inches in size or a sign with your house numbers please do so before June 1st

.This measure is so that if any emergency services are required they will be able to find you fast!

Garbage and Recycle bins — Please ensure that your bins are not left on Town property after

pickup days. Council has now passed a resolution to which those bins that are left out for more

than 48 hours will be affected. Our Public Works staff will move them back to your property, and

if they do so, there will be a charge of $20.00 per bin, billed monthly, and after 30 days with no

payment, this charge will be moved to your taxes. Moving these back helps keep our town clean,

and especially helps while we are out moving snow.

Water Billing — Council is considering an increase to rates to match that of SaskWater’s

increase to the Town. We are aware of their rates for this year and next and will be increasing to

match. Council is also going to increase the sewer rates as that has never increased and there have

been some heavy years on our sewers.

Water Meter Reads — Council has passed a resolution to which charges will be placed on

properties for where the water meter probe is not accessible. That is either due to snow or even

dogs in yards. We will give notice when the reader is out. Please ensure there will be nothing

blocking our staff from getting a read. If so, there will be a $20.00 charge placed on your account,

and this will be added to taxes should it not be paid within 30 days.

Parking — Move vehicles and trailers to off-street parking, especially after a snowfall.

The Town can tow these vehicles if they are not moved.

Snow Removal Concerns — Call the Town Office if it is an emergency - 306-257-3272.

2026 Licenses — Remember your pet’s license expired on December 31st, 2025.

Dogs & Cats — Remember to clean up after your pet no matter where they do their business.

Bylaw enforcement deals with written complaints on a monthly basis. When you have a concern,

contact the office for a form. We cannot do any enforcement without a written complaint.

2026 Business Licenses — All Home Based Business owners are reminded that your current

license expired on December 31st, 2025. Please stop by the office to renew your license for 2026.

These are also due by January 31st

.

Keep Our Community Safe – During snow removal Please Keep Everyone Safe by waiting

until equipment has stopped to proceed past a work area, or take an alternate route. With the

snowfalls, we will be cleaning up for quite a while. If you see the bobcat, tractor or town

trucks, please give them space to work. Also, please get your Loraas Bins and vehicles off the

street to help work progress more quickly.
