News from the Town Office
Allan is a Busy Place this Summer! Kids are Everywhere! Which is as it should be. With lots of equipment and vehicles dealing with detours, its is important to remember that we should keep our community safe by driving slowly by the Pool and Museum. Kids excited about swimming or a summer program might not notice you coming down Main Street.
Road Work - is ongoing on 2nd Ave and Queen Street. Please STAY OFF these areas while the road work is underway. We will be finished and have a lovely driving surface before long.
Rebird Fibre Internet—Over the next several weeks, Redbird will be installing service connections in our community. People are still able to sign up and can pick up their gift cards at the library. They are also sponsoring the upcoming fall Library barbeque and book sale.
Keep Allan Looking Good—Remember to keep your hedges in the front yard 1 meter high, this is an old rule, with a new reminder. Also, keep the grass mowed to keep our community looking great. Debris in lanes is going to be a problem as the Fibre is installed. Please keep these areas cleaned up.
Home Based Businesses—Council continues to approve many different Home Based Businesses in Allan. We will put a list of Home Based businesses on our website, in the near future. Be sure you’re on the list!
Dogs & Cats—All dogs and cats are to be leashed and under control when not in your yard. Clean up after your pet no matter where they do their business. Bylaw enforcement deals with written complaints on a monthly basis. When you have a concern, contact the office for a form. We cannot do any enforcement without a written complaint. For Dog Bite, contact the RCMP and Public Health.
COVID Rapid Test Kits are still available for pick up at the Town Office.
