News from the Town Office
Volunteer of the Year—Council in 2021, established a Volunteer of the Year Award. Applications can be obtained from the Town Office. Applications will be accepted until the day before the November meeting of Council each year, at which time they will be reviewed by Council. The form is also available on the website, for on-line submission.
Parking—Allan has a 72 hour parking limit on streets, according to our Traffic Bylaw. With the winter snow load, vehicles can cause problems with snow removal. We request you move vehicles and trailers to off street parking, especially after a snowfall. Snow removal policy is for primary areas first, followed by residential streets, and lastly, back lanes.
Keep Our Community Safe– During the road work and snow removal please KEEP everyone SAFE AND STAY OUT OF WORK zones in the Town of Allan. If you see the bobcat, tractor or town trucks, please give them space to work.
Redbird Fibre Internet—Redbird is hoping to have their system up and running in November.
Home Based Businesses—Council has considered and approved many different Home Based Businesses in Allan from automotive repair to daycare. Make sure you’re included when we put it on the website.
Pets—Our Animal Control Bylaw requires licenses to be on all dogs and cats. Remember leashes are mandatory when not in your yard. Clean up after your pet no matter where they do their business.
COVID Rapid Test Kits are still available for pick up at the Town Office.
