June 2023 - School's Out For Summer!

Updated: Nov 1, 2023

News from the Town Office Town Council approved the swimming pool rules for 2023, remember that children under 9 must have adult supervision at the pool. We have a busy summer planned to keep our kids busy. Preparations are well under way for swimming lessons and the summer fun program. Council has approved a contest to design a mural on the North wall of the swimming pool. The prize will be a swimming pool pass, and the contest closes on June 30, 2023. Recreation Facilities Maintenance Position —We would like to thank Lonnie Mushansky for his service to recreation facilities in Allan. We are now taking applications to fill this position due to his resignation. Information is posted on Facebook or you can check in at the town office. We will be filling the full time position in the near future, if a suitable candidate is found.

Yard Maintenance—Everything is growing now, the rain has definitely helped. Please trim your hedges off the sidewalks, and keep your lawns mowed. Garbage & Recycle Bins—Please store your garbage and recycle bins on your property, well away from the street. On pick up days, please put your bins right at the edge of any paved surface and then bring your bins back on to your property as soon as you are able. Council thanks you for your assistance. The Loraas truck is very heavy and can break up the edges of our pavement. Pets —Remember we have a pooper scooper section in our animal control bylaw. All pets must be licensed and on leashes when not in your yard. If you have a concern, Bylaw Enforcement is in town monthly to deal with any written complaints or concerns. COVID Rapid Test Kits are still available for pick up at the Town Office. Stay Safe, Stay Healthy, Be Kind
