Animal Control—Please control your animals Rules—Remember that ALL dogs and cats must be on a leash unless they are in your yard. Pets are not to be let out at night to roam the streets. Also, you are responsible to clean up after your pet. Licensing— Remember, pets must be licensed by January 31st. Any owners of pets who have not licensed their pets by this date could be fined for having unlicensed pets. Please license your pet as soon as possible. Please check that all pets are registered, or if you no longer have your pet, inform the Town Office so we may take you off the pet ownership list. Complaints—When you wish to make a complaint regarding an animal, we need a few things to be able to take action. We need a signed, written complaint, clearly identifying the animal, a photo with dog tag is the best way to identify pets. Your webcam, unless it can clearly identify the animal is not usually enough to go to court. Bylaw enforcement works after that to issue tickets and to help prosecute animal complaints. Without a written complaint in the office, we have no way to deal with animals at large. Complaining on Facebook will not help to solve an issue. A written complaint in the town office will be dealt with. We can email the form to you. Snow Clearing is well under way. Ensure your vehicles, trailers, boats are off the streets so that snow may be cleared. The Public Works dept. is working hard to keep our streets clear. Thank you to residents for your help! Remember, the snow from your driveway belongs in your yard, not on the street. COVID Rapid Test Kits are available for pick up at the Town Office. Stay Safe, Stay Healthy, Be Kind.
