News from the Town Office Volunteer of the Year—Applications will be accepted until the day before the November meeting of Council each year, at which time they will be reviewed by Council. The form is available in the office and on the website for on-line submission. The award is scheduled for December 18, 2021 at the Communiplex. Campers, Trailers, etc. —It is time to get the campers and RVs removed from streets to make snow removal effective. Last Year, we got a very heavy snow early in November, which lasted the winter. Please have these put away as soon as possible, preferably before the first major snow fall. COVID and the Town of Allan If you are coming into the office to pay bills, or other business, you will need to wear a mask and sanitize, but will not need proof of vaccination. The Town of Allan has implemented a policy requiring persons attending Council and Committee meetings. In order to attend meetings of Council and Committees, people are required to have a PCR negative test within 7 days, or provide proof of Covid vaccination. We will have electronic options available for anyone wishing to attend Council meetings, who is unable to meet these requirements. Town Council will continue to review/revise policies on a routine basis to be as consistent as possible with current public health standards. If there is any question regarding standards or policies, those issued by the Province of Saskatchewan will be the standard. The Fire Dept. has received Covid Rapid Test Kits. Contact the Chief to get one. 2021 Road Work—the Town of Allan had an agreement to some significant road work this year. However, the contractor failed to get here soon enough. Council is not pleased with this circumstance. Council will be reviewing options for the 2022 season .
