News from the Town Office
Transfer Station Hours & Fall Clean-Up — Summer hours begin May 2nd
Saturdays 9am-5pm & Tuesdays 10am-5pm. The Spring clean-up day, which means there is
No Gate Fee for ALLAN Residents. As there was such poor weather on the originally
scheduled day, there will be another day set up in May. The date is not yet set. Please watch
Facebook and for signs around town once the date is set. There will be no charge to anyone
bringing in organic yard waste only. All other rates will still apply.
House Numbering — Council recently passed a resolution that requires all homes to have
house numbering on the street side of which your home is addressed. If you don’t already have
numbers that are at least 4 inches in size or a sign with your house numbers please do so before
June 1st. This measure is so that if any emergency services are required they will be able to find
you fast! Charges will be issued if you do not have your houses properly numbered after June 1st
.This will be due to the cost we will incur for the signs being placed on your homes.
Garbage and Recycle bins — Please ensure that your bins are not left on Town property after
pickup days. Council has now passed a resolution to which those bins that are left out for more
than 48 hours will be affected. Our Public Works staff will move them back to your property, and
if they do so, there will be a charge of $20.00 per bin, billed monthly, and after 30 days with no
payment, this charge will be moved to your taxes. Moving these back helps keep our town clean.
Hazardous Waste Disposal Day — June 11th from 9 am to 3 pm at the Town Shop. There is
no fee to the ratepayers for this service.
Water Billing — Council has increased water rates to match that of SaskWater’s increase to the
Town. On a basic bill, you will now see an increase of $9.59 for water for 2026 and an increase of
$1.20 towards the sewer amounts for a total increase on a basic bill of $10.79 for 2026. Council
has also set the rates for 2027 to an increase of water and sewer and a total basic bill increase of
$11.33 from that of 2026. The sewer rates have not seen an increase and there have been some
heavy years on our sewers.
Parking — Move vehicles and trailers regularly. There is a Bylaw that regulates vehicles to be
moved every 72 hours. The Town can tow these vehicles if they are not moved.
Dogs & Cats — Tickets were mailed out for those who have not yet licensed their pets for this
year. Remember to come in and do that as soon as possible in the new year.
Volunteerism — We are a small town and we are heavily volunteer based. We are always
looking for new volunteers. If you are interested in helping in the community, please feel free to
contact the office and we can help you find a group to help in!
